Friday the students will stay home and teachers will have professional development

Please consider sending in fresh fruits or veggies for class snacks: carrots, grapes, apples, cuties, bananas, etc.

Please consider donating some new colored markers (not dry erase–we have plenty of those) and or a ream of cardstock paper (any colors or white)

This week we will read about women who have persisted and made a difference in history.  The theme ‘Persistence will appear in our writing and reading this week.

In science we will continue investigating sounds.

In math we continue working in unit 5 with base ten concepts and place value.

Home assignments:

Read daily and keep track of minutes
Sight word practice: brown, very, own, never, off, know, been, out

Math worksheet & memorize single digit facts practice (Mon – thur)
Fix the sentences worksheet (Mon – Thur)

Reading Log: (note: please try to read a minimum 10 minutes each day.  An adult reading aloud to a child counts.  If you miss a day simply write 0 on the line)
