This passed week and current week kids in second grade are taking the NWEA MAP assessment in Mathematics.  The results of this test will be used for informing us about your child’s start of the year math concepts understanding.  It will give you some information about where your child is in relation to their peers.  It is also used to evaluate the teacher at the end of the year , when the test is administered a second time.  For more information on testing and our philosophy of the test use please see your child’s teacher.

Open House is Thursday the 8th.  This is a chance to hear about our curriculum and a message from the principal.  Students will be required to stay at their parents side during the entire event.  It is not a time for children to free play around the school, so please support us by keeping a close eye on your kids while the teachers present.

Picture day is the 9th.  Please have your picture selections clearly marked with a check for the photographer.

Fall is here and so is the unpredictable weather.  Please send your child with layers of clothing for any type of weather.
