ALSO: For students in room 214: Please bring a pair of shoes with which you can change into so that we can keep our floor and rug dry during these snowy days. We will remove our wet shoes at the door each day. Slippers are also acceptable for this purpose.
This week the fee for the field trip is due. The trip is not until the 28th, but if we do not pay we cannot secure our seats.
In math the unit we are studying covers some geometry and line study. The unit moves quickly and we will try to complete it by Friday and complete the unit test either Friday or Monday.
Assessments in reading and math are ongoing this week and next. Parents, look for the MOY assessment results with the report cards.
In science students are learning the names of the three major types of clouds.
In social science we are studying African American Heritage. Please look for project details in the take home folder.

Choice 1:Creative Writing: Write a fairy tale about a king or a queen who lives in a very unusual kingdom and who has the same name as you! Begin your story with these words: “Once upon a time…”
Choice 2: Knights of the Silly Joke: Knights carried shields that told other people who they were. Pretend you are a night. Make up a name that tells what kind of knight you are. Are you called the Knights of the Silly Joke because you tell jokes and make people laugh? Are you a friendly or scary knight? Draw a shield using words and pictures to tell about the type of knight you are.
