This week we will attend the 3rd grade play.
This weekend is our biggest fundraiser of the year.  Please see the Ray Enews for information on volunteering for a shift at the Hyde Park Art Fair.

Please be on the lookout for summer suggestions from the teachers coming soon.

I hope everyone enjoyed the class book we published from Scholastic.  If you did not yet purchase a copy you can request an order form from me.  It is not to late to own your own copy!

Please send a water bottle with your child each day.  Please DO NOT freeze the bottles, they end up making a mess and getting the work we do wet.

We still need snack donations.

From Silvia Ellis (Parent):

Ray K and 1st grade teachers:

I took some pictures of the K and 1st graders at the Walk-A-Thon. I created a google album to facilitate sharing with parents. The link to the album is below. Parents should download the pictures they want to keep–I will delete the album in the summer.
Thanks,
Silvia
It was an amazing day!  Thank you Silvia!
May 22nd at 5:30 pm, families will get to experience Ray School’s Pilot Light food education program by preparing a meal together.
Our field trip is this week Thursday.  Please remember to pack a lunch and be on time to school that day!
We will finish our “Me on the Map” project this week and then begin our summer journal collage project.  We will fit these special projects into our regular routine as much as possible.

We’re devoting our last meeting of the year to cooking! On May 22nd at 5:30 pm, families will get to experience Ray School’s Pilot Light food education program by preparing a meal together.

We will be working together to make ingredients that can be used for Banh Mi sandwiches, a rice dish or a green salad.

Seats are limited so please sign up soon!

Join us, please RSVP by clicking here or email friendsofraypto@gmail.com so we know what quantity of ingredients to buy.

BIG NEWS…COUNT DOWN TO SUMMER IS ATTACHED.  Each day we have fun in unusual ways.

Our field trip is around the corner.  Please return the signed (dated) trip slip ASAP.  Remember this is a trip for which you have already paid.  I just need permission to take your child out of the building on that date.  Questions please see me.  Thanks in advance to Caleb’s mom for chaperoning.

Look for unit 8 review for test this week in math.

Walk a thon is this week.  Our class is woefully underrepresented on the list.  Please consider signing up and helping with this important fund raiser.

We need snack donations.
