This week we will continue looking at earth materials and earth systems.
In math we are embarking on unit 6 that includes graphing and a big emphasis on double digit addition.
In reading and language arts we are long e spellings, am/is and are,understanding characters through words and actions, suffixes y and ful, and quotation marks.
The field trip has finally been approved and the permission slip will be in today’s folder.
Home assignments: (Reading logs are due each Monday. Writing assignments are due each Friday.)

A “Writing Application” project will last all 5 days of the week Monday: Plan (choose from the 2 topics provided) Tuesday Draft, Wednesday revise (make it better) Thursday edit (check for errors) Friday publish (turn it in to the teacher)
Choice 1: A Letter
Pretend you took a long car trip. Write a letter to a friend. Tell what you did for fun as you rode in the car. Did you sing songs? What games did you play?
Choice 2: It Auto Be Mine
Pretend you could have any car in the world. What kind would you want? Write about your car. Tell what it looks like and how it is special. Include a drawing of your car. Does it have special powers?
