Parents,
We am supposed to call you each time your child is tardy or absent.  Unfortunately time is sometimes short and this gets overlooked.  Please note the following:
We are not able to forward email absence notes from parents to the office. Parents are required to send written notes when students return from being absent. Absence notes are to include the students full name, teachers name or room number, all dates of absence, the reason for absence and the parents signature and telephone number. Any student that is absent five days or more must have a doctors note. Travel, family reunions etc. are not CPS approved causes for absence, so they will be unexcused even if the parent sends a written note.
If all absence information is included on the email, I can print them and send them down in the attendance envelope.
Thank you.
